Tiba-tiba saya kepengen update blog.

Saat ini saya sedang berada di sebuah PH di kawasan Senayan, setelah baru saja kembali dari sebuah PH di kawasan SCBD. Saya baru tidur jam empat pagi dan bangun jam delapan pagi, langsung 'ngeberesin' sebuah deadline dan lalu mengejar deadline satunya. 

Pemikiran ini datang tiba-tiba, ketika saya melihat layer-layer berwarna hijau dan biru di software editing Avid Media Composer : sejak kapan, saya bisa melakukan ini?

Saya tentu tahu kapan dan bagaimana saya memulai belajar editing. Tapi, sejak kapan saya bisa melakukan ini? Mengukur speed saya sendiri, menganalisa pekerjaan saya sendiri, bahkan sok sokan mengambil dua pekerjaan sampingan yang sukses membuat saya seperti mayat hidup. Dulu saya ingat, saya bahkan takut memencet spasi untuk mempelajari hasil editan mentor saya, saking banyak dan rumitnya layer-layer yang numplek di sequence. Takut salah pencet, lalu merusak apa yang ada di sana. Sekarang, saya membangun layer-layer rumit saya sendiri, entah sejak kapan dimulainya. Menilai sebuah skrip jelek atau bagus, menilai sebuah gambar layak atau tidak, memilih musik pengiring - sendiri. Yah, tidak benar-benar sendiri juga, karena tentu selalu ada Quality Control, Executive Producer, Supervisor, Director. Tapi, saya mengerjakan sendiri, sebagai seorang editor.

Saya bahkan malu-malu menyebut diri saya bisa ngedit, karena saya tahu masih buanyakkkk editor-editor yang kapasitasnya jauh melebihi saya. Saya tahu apa yang dibutuhkan untuk menjadi editor, saya tau apa yang dilakukan, hak dan kewajibannya. Saya tahu. Ya jelas tahu, bahkan skripsi saya berjudul "Peran Editor Pada Proses Paska Produksi Dalam Rumah Produksi". 

Tapi, untuk menyebut diri sendiri editor, apakah saya sudah layak? Kadang-kadang saya seperti dokter, menutupi borok tim produksi. Kadang-kadang juga saya seperti tukang jahit, potong dan jahit. Atau seperti tukang daging, memotong tanpa perasaan. 

Ketika saya meragukan diri saya sendiri, tawaran pekerjaan datang dan datang lagi. Itu membuat saya merasa diakui, walaupun untuk mengajukan diri masih agak kurang pede. Saya melihat teman-teman editor saya (yang kebanyakan laki-laki) bisa membuat berbagai macam efek yang 'wow' dengan tempo cepat. Saya mah boro-boro. Saya pernah berniat mempelajari teknik mereka, tapi akhirnya merasa bahwa  ini memang bukan style saya. Seperti setiap orang suka warna yang berbeda-beda, saya lebih suka gambar yang cantik dengan pace yang pelan. Beberapa orang menyebut editan saya 'feminin' (ya ini tergantung juga dari apa yang dikerjakan :p) padahal saya aslinya jauh sekali dari feminin. Kadang-kadang saya berpikir laki-laki lebih mudah untuk survive di bidang pekerjaan ini, karena jelas harus mengorbankan waktu tidur (lupakan beauty sleep), tenaga, dan yang jelas, harus siap tidur di mana saja dan pulang ke rumah jam berapa saja-atau tidak pulang sama sekali.

Di sini, di sebuah PH di bilangan Senayan dengan badan yang hancur lebur dan mata menghitam karena kurang tidur, saya bersyukur bahwa saya melakukan ini. Saya mencintai pekerjaan saya dengan sepenuh hati.

In July, 2nd some friends ask me to help 'em made some indie video clip for Indonesia Kreatif competition. Thought it was to edit it at first, but NO, they ask me to be the talent. Oh well,... seems exciting, so I joined em. Here's some photo of it :

i left my heart in this place : Gili Terawangan, Lombok

So, from May 2nd until 7th i was have a week trip and i'm gonna tell you how it was :D
Im gonna tell the detail and the prices too, don't get bored kay.

MAY 2th
JAKARTA :
- Going to the Soekarno Hatta International Airport using Damri Bus. (Rp. 30.000,-)
- Airport Tax (Rp. 40.000,-)
- Eat (Yes, it was expensive havin to eat in the airport (-_-") (Rp. 40.000,-)

The Flight was nice, i've experienced a little turbulence, nothing major.

BALI :
- Taxi from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Benesari (Rp.25.000)

My Friends were already book a hotel in the area. I'll tell you guys about the hotel later. But note this : DO NOT USE AIRPORT'S TAXI. They extremely expensive. My friend almost pay Rp. 90.000 for the same route. Use Blue Bird instead, find some outside the airport. Not that I'm a Blue Bird fan or something, but this brand is well-known for, you know, their service. You won't get cheated.

- Hotel Room (Rp. 240.000) Meh. This is kinda expensive for backpacker like us :(
- Motorcycle rent (Rp. 50.000) We only rent this to find some dinner outside and seein Kuta Beach. A pitch black Kuta Beach. (Yes, i miss beach that much it made me happy just hearin the sounds of waves.)

- Speedboat ticket (Rp. 375.000 two way)
We decided to use travel named EKA JAYA somethin, they picked us up from the hotel, drop us in Padang Bai. Compared to the ferry (Rp 150.000 two way) this was much more expensive, but this was faster (90 minutes) compared to the ferry (300 minutes) so i guess,... we better pay a little bit more than wastin our precious holiday time in the ferry,... And they drop us directly in Gili Terawangan, so we didnt have to go to Lembar/Mataram

MAY 3rd

Hotel room (Rp 150.000/night)
No AC, no TV, so this room was just a basecamp for sleep. We didn't intend to waste our time in the room while there's beach to be explored :)

Gili Terawangan

It was so peaceful here. No motorcycles, no honking sound, everybody use bicycle or delman here. I asked the locals and they said the government forbid them to bring motorcycles to the island. Motorcycles only allowed in Lombok, Mataram City. Good then!! (For people like us whose fed enough with cars and motorcycles)

Food rates in Gili Terawangan was normal. In good places near the beach the rates was about the same with the cafe in Jakarta's Mall, but you can also find some Warung and eat with just Rp. 10.000. :) Hang out with the locals, they'll tell you good places.

- Bike Rent (Rp.50.000/day) 

  You can bargain it though :p we paid Rp. 100.000/3days

In the afternoon Gilang and me were bicycling around the island. Gili Terawangan was not so big, but we get tired and thirsty we decided to pull over and take a rest while waiting for the sunset.

MAY 4th

Gilang was injured her ankle, and the others still too tired from the adventure so today was all-play day. We only played again in the sea and then catch the sunset (but failed again :( ) i was too active i made my legs stiff it was huuuurrttttttt!!! My advice : bring Counterpain. They didn't sell it here. You can bought Banana Boat SunBlock or Tanning Cream even underwater camera in some stores. But i was looking for Counterpain and didnt managed to get one :(

MAY 5th

There were some activities you can do in Gili Terawangan such as diving and snorkeling. For snorkeling you have to pay Rp 90.000,- each. They'll lend u fin and snorkel, and bought you to three places : Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. I was too coward to swim without life jacket and i didn't even touch  the water if Gili Meno. Judging the stream and the color of the sea,... it was a deep sea. So, i thought turtles wasn't so beautiful and i stayed in the boat with Gilang.

Then we went to Gili Air for another snorkeling. Personally i was expected more from the undersea of Lombok, but i got disappointed. I was amazed and stunned when i was snorkeled in Tidung Island, last year. And the coral of Lombok wasn't amazed me,....

And for diving,.... i heard it was about uh,... Rp 300.000,- but didn't know for sure,... I can barely managed my snorkeling experience though,... i was afraid of the deep sea. Oh! Mas Gege mailed me asked if i had a diving certificate because he was looking for replacement for his host and i was like (-_-") it was tempting, yes, but ah,... 

In the night, i can barely walk,.... hehehe

MAY 6th

We're going back to Bali using the same speedboat. Luckily i was asleep because everyone said it was scary, the waves was big because it was raining, and we've got the small speedboat. We touch Bali land on 1 pm, and went to Denpasar to stay in Gilang's soon-to-be cousin, Gede. At night, Gilang's Soon-to-be family took us out for karaoke. At first we felt awkward, but enjoyed it in the end :D

May 7th

Pichink, Gilang's Boyfriend picked us up in the airport. Oh, hello again Jakarta. And the traffic. 

It was nice to have a vacation once in a while,... :) and I'm already looking forward for another (but it seems my works already kill me slowly wight now!!)

Dua puluh empat.

Itu umur saya tahun ini. Dan walau hanya berbeda satu angka dari tahun kemarin, saya merasa tua. Yak, saya merasa tua. 

Ngintip blog post saya taun lalu, saya lagi angot-angotnya mencari jati diri (atau justru quarter life crisis? eh, istilah ini tidak pernah sepenuhnya saya mengerti sebenernya), lalu bagaimana dengan jati dirinya, sudah ketemukah? 

Sepertinya saya merasa begini-begini saja.

Sewaktu saya belum menginjak kepala dua, saya melihat Titi Kamal di infotainment (kenapa Titi Kamal? Ini murni kebetulan. Nggak, saya nggak ngefans sama dia. Saat itu infotainment itu lagi wawancara soal ulang tahunnya yang ke dua puluh empat) sebagai wanita cantik yang 'matang'. Baik secara fisik maupun cita-cita. Coba lihat bentuk tubuhnya, 'wanita' banget kan? Saat itu saya berharap kalau umur saya sudah dua puluh empat maka pantat saya akan tumbuh secara ajaib. Dan sepertinya dia sudah jadi orang yang cukup 'berhasil' di usianya saat itu. Berkaca di umur saya yang saat ini dua puluh empat, kok begini-begini saja ya? Jauh sekali dari image Titi Kamal dan wanita-wanita lain berumur dua puluh empat yang saya lihat saat itu. Pantat saya? Masih tepos sampai kalo duduk di permukaan keras jadi kesakitan sendiri. Cita-cita? Dulu saya pengen jadi profesor, lalu announcer, lalu news anchor. Sekarang? Video editor. Ini lebih karena cinta, bukan cita-cita. Berhasilkah saya saat ini? Kalau belum berhasil mengedit sebuah film layar lebar, saya belum cukup bangga. Tapi kalau melihat produk film layar lebar Indonesia sekarang ini, saya angkat tangan dan menggeser ambisi : masuk ke Discovery Channel/Planet Animal/National Geographic Channel. Sudah sampai mana saya? Masih belajar, menaiki sedikit demi sedikit ilmu dan pengalaman. 

Kembali lagi ke pernyataan 'saya merasa tua'.

Tahun lalu, yang saya dan teman-teman saya bicarakan, adalah gadget paling canggih, liburan paling asoy (bahasa zaman kapan ini asoy?). Tahun ini, seiring dengan lingkup pergaulan yang bergeser dan teman-teman baru, topik pembicaraan kali ini kebanyakan tentang : rumah tangga dan isinya. Tidak melupakan sentuhan-sentuhan gadget baru tentunya, tapi memudar seiring dengan perjalanan waktu untuk menjadi dewasa. Gimana nggak merasa tua kalau teman saya ngomonginnya beli mobil, beli rumah, atau investasi (yang jelas-jelas nggak kepikiran sama sekali tahun lalu)? Yang tentunya tujuannya bukan untuk pamer-pameran, tapi lebih bagaimana menghadapi hidup tanpa sokongan orang tua, syukur-syukur malah bisa membantu.

Tapi saya mengurut apa yang terjadi dalam setahun belakangan dan bersyukur karena ternyata saya berubah. Apa jadinya kalau saya sama saja dengan tahun lalu? Apa intinya semua cobaan ataupun makna yang nggak sengaja saya temui di sepanjang perjalanan sampai saat ini? 

Tahun depan saya akan ngomongin apa ya?

Resigned!

     Sudah nyaris dua minggu semenjak saya resign dari kantor lama saya, O Channel. Kantor yang bukan sekedar kantor untuk saya, tapi juga tempat belajar, dan tempat bermain. Yap, hampir seperti Taman Kanak Kanak memang :). Tapi disitulah justru letak kelebihan kantor ini, semua-muanya entah mengapa membuat saya merasa tempat ini adalah comfort zone saya. Meskipun suka kesel karena jadwal pekerjaan yang seolah nggak manusiawi atau hal-hal lain yang pasti ditemukan di setiap kantor, tetap, i left my heart in this place.
