Behind The Scene of a Behind The Scene Videos

Pretty confusing, ha? 

Jadi, saya kerja part time untuk Olivia Jensen as a content editor. You can ask google if her name doesn't ring a bell. Sebagai content editor,... I edit, uh, pretty much anything. :)))) Foto, video dan juga bikin artikel dari cerita-cerita Olive. She's a nice person and, although I have no experience at writing and photo editing whatsoever, it turns out I enjoy the work. I like the 'trying' part. I like the ideas of 'i can do this'.

Lalu, Olive asked me to make a "Behind The Website" video. Semacam self-promotional, yang intinya nyeritain tentang website itu. Apa aja yang dia akan share, siapa aja yang akan terlibat, dsb. Pertamanya saya ragu. I NEVER make something from zero. I never make a script, I never being a producer, or director, professionally. I'm just this video editor girl who enjoys her work by seeing the world through the monitor, sitting in a chair in an air-conditioned room, feeling comfortable and all. BUT TO MAKE ONE, geez. 

So it happened. I made the script with Olive (she was reaaaallly helpful), I was looking for the properties, I surveyed the location, I managed the schedule. WHOA I produce. (And uh, forgive me fellow producers, apparently being a pain in the ass is the job desk of a producer :P) Saya juga ngajak Kaka Rudy, DOP andalan saya yang baik banget ngebantuin sampan proses color grading.

First try as a director? Uh, saya bahkan ragu apakah saya ngedirect. I mean, i look for the references and telling Kaka Rudy what I want to shoot, but I still doesn't feel it. Untungnya Kaka Rudy is one hell of a DOP, he gave me a difficult choices when I edited it. 

Saya puas dengan hasilnya. Frankly I never thought I could make something like this. :)

I hate taking photos with Olive. She made me look,... average. :|
